ACF x HIG
A Growth Partnership with Harmonic Innovation Group.
The Africa Compute Fund was selected for a growth partnership opportunity developed through the AI Hub for Sustainable Development ecosystem in collaboration with Harmonic Innovation Group (HIG).
We signed the MoU at the Nairobi AI Forum on February 9th 2026.
Harmonic Innovation Group (HIG) is an Italy-based innovation and industrial ecosystem that works across startups, companies, and institutions. Their model is built around programs and structured pathways that connect ventures to corporate and institutional partners, with an emphasis on moving from introductions to scoped pilot activity and defined collaboration tracks.
The partnership establishes a formal working relationship with HIG around a structured growth and acceleration pathway for ACF. The scope is execution-facing. It includes structured work around strengthening operating capacity, improving commercial coordination, sharpening fundraising readiness, and building clearer routes into pilots and corporate collaborations through HIG’s network. In practice, it creates a more organized channel for engaging European industrial and institutional counterparties where there is real alignment on pilots, deployments, and longer-term collaboration.
For us, the objective is to expand access to compute in Africa and to make that compute usable in the real world. That means focusing on delivery. Delivery is the ability to take real demand, convert it into defined work with clear outcomes, run it reliably, and then repeat it. It is the difference between capability that exists on paper and capacity that is actually being used, paid for, and depended on.
The partnership is structured to strengthen that operating posture—making execution more disciplined and repeatable, and turning engagement with partners into concrete activity.
This opportunity was developed through the AI Hub for Sustainable Development, powered by Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) and implemented by UNDP, in collaboration with Italian and African partners.
