The Transition Program
A structured path for businesses moving from AI experimentation to implementation.
We’ve been building the Africa Compute Fund to make AI infrastructure usable in practice. That means GPUs, orchestration, data pipelines, and access models that help startups, enterprises, institutions, and governments move from interest to execution.
Infrastructure on its own is not enough. Many institutions know AI matters, but do not have a clear starting point. They see the global announcements and the progress in the market, but turning that into something practical inside their business is a different challenge.
That is why we created the Transition Program.
What It Is
The Transition Program is a structured pathway for businesses moving from “AI is interesting” to “AI is implemented.” It combines compute access, data, engineering support, and implementation planning so institutions can begin deploying AI in real operations.
The program is designed to help institutions move from current workflows and constraints to practical AI deployment across their operations.
When you join the Transition Program, you are not getting generic consulting. You are getting direct access to infrastructure, technical support, and a structured implementation process. That includes:
GPU Access – Direct integration with Monarch, our orchestration system. Early access to powerful GPUs, including H100s, A100s, and local GPU capacity based in Africa. This gives businesses access to infrastructure that is typically difficult to secure and expensive to scale independently.
Datasets – Access to curated data resources, including the Monarch Africa Dataset. Localized, high-quality data that ensures models are trained and tuned for African markets and contexts.
Engineering Support – Our team works with yours to review your data, identify use cases, fine-tune models, and help with integration. This is hands-on, technical support, not just a set of recommendations.
Custom Roadmap – A tailored plan showing how your business can integrate AI within months, not years. We identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, customer experience improvements, and revenue growth.
Reservations Pathway – Institutions in the program get access to compute reservations. This means you can secure future GPU capacity at scale, locking in your position as AI demand accelerates.
ROI Focus – Every step of the program is measured. The goal is clear: show you the return on investment from AI adoption, not in abstract potential but in your day-to-day operations.
Becoming an AI business is an infrastructure shift. And for businesses in Africa, that shift comes with unique challenges: infrastructure availability, data localization requirements, regulatory frameworks, and energy costs.
What is needed is an approach built for this context. The Transition Program brings together infrastructure, datasets, and technical support so businesses can move faster with less wasted time, effort, and coordination cost.
The program is designed for institutions that want to identify high-value use cases, run practical pilots, and build the internal capability needed to scale successful AI deployments over time.
The Process
A limited number of institutions are selected to work directly with us. Once accepted, your team moves through three main stages:
Audit – We review your workflows, infrastructure, data readiness, and near-term AI opportunities.
Integration – You gain direct access to GPUs, datasets, and engineering support. Together, we launch pilot projects and early operational use cases.
Scaling – We help you expand successful pilots into core business operations, backed by reservations that guarantee future compute capacity.
Each stage is designed to reduce the distance between interest, pilot deployment, and operational use.
This cohort is limited. We are selecting a small number of institutions to work with directly.
If your business is serious about moving from AI exploration to implementation, this is the point to start.
